2.2 paper manipulation library part 1.

I have chosen he following papers;


  • tracing paper,tissue paper,  memo pad paper,sticky back labels left over in my day job.

Water colour paper, sewing pattern pattern, recycled paper ,card and wrapping paper, waxed clear envelope, card, white and brown.

I have read through the suggested techniques and plan to use some of the following for my paper manipulation.


Victorian cuff: tearing ,pleating,slashing

Gouache tree:  ,raising ,cutting, crunching up,tufting,wrapping

Mexican top: crumpling, puncturing

Box stitch: folding,bashing,weaving

I plan to lay out my paper and my selected drawing and mind map associated works with each drawing to create a mood for each paper.

Line ,mark, surface

Cuff: dreamy, floaty, light, melancholic, old, historic,playful stitch

Gouache tree: texture, rough, bright, sunny

Mexican top, crimped ,colourful, detailed, light ,cool fabric

Box stitch: heavy, definite ,structured, strong.

I decided to use natural dyes to create colours for my papers and creating Mark's with rusty nails and various wetting agents.
